Santiago de Cuba, March 13, 2012.- Curious and surprised, thousands of Santiago de Cuba residents that go past the Revolution Square can see the huge white, metallic structure being built near the monument to independence hero Antonio Maceo.
This is a major site of preparations for the warm welcome to be given on March 26 to Pope Benedict XVI, who will start his visit to Cuba in this city.
The pope is scheduled to give a mass at the Square that day in the afternoon.
