Papal visit in 1998

The Visit by Pope John Paul II to Cuba, on January 21-25, 1998, was a world event.

Few times,  during the last years, a visit by the Holy Father have awakenso much expectations and so much conjectures.

The idea of a supposed apocalypses  offeredby the international mass media gave way to the image of a people that listened with affection and respect to the message of the successor of Peter. Those five days did not changed the history of Cuba, they enrichedit.
